Arlington STP and ARRA Project Map

Highway 70 & Airline Road Improvements and Signalization - Projected Plan:
  1. Widening of Highway 70 to five (5) lanes from approximately 500' west and 500' east of the intersection of Highway 70 and Airline Road.
  2. Airline Road to be widened to five (5) lanes from the intersection of Highway 70 south to the CSX Railroad crossing, then continue approximately 200' south of the CSX Railroad crossing. Construction includes raised medians, curb and gutter, sidewalk and underground drainage.
  3. Installation of traffic signal at Highway 70 and Airline Road with a new widened CSX railroad crossing signal. 

Highway 70 & Milton Wilson Improvements and Signalization - Projected Plan:
  1. New section of Milton Wilson from Maple Grove Subdivision to Highway 70 to include a new at-grade CSX Railroad Crossing.
  2. Milton Wilson to be five (5) lanes, with raised medians, curb and gutter, sidewalk and underground drainage.
  3. Widening of Highway 70 to install turn lanes.
  4. Installation of traffic signal at Highway 70 and Milton Wilson with a new CSX Railroad crossing signal.

Milton Wilson South, Roadway – Projected Plan:
  1. New five (5) lane section of Milton Wilson from Airline Road to Chester Street
  2. Installation of median and/or center turn lane, curb and gutter, and sidewalks.

Milton Wilson and Airline Road Signalization - Projected Plan:
Installation of traffic signal at Airline Road and Milton Wilson.

Bike and Pedestrian Trail Phase 1 - Projected Plan:
  1. Construct approximately 5000 linear feet of trail.
  2. Trail to be along Memphis-Arlington Road and Milton Wilson to provide a continuous connection between Arlington Middle School and Arlington Sports Complex, and from Arlington Sports Complex to Arlington High School by tying the east end of the trail with the Milton Wilson Bridge over Highway 385.
  3. Project shall include crosswalks, landscaping, furnishings along the proposed trail.
  4. Future phases are proposed and will be linked to this phase.

Airline Road Paving – Projected Plan:
Resurface Airline Road from CSX Railroad Crossing to I-40.

Chester Street Paving – Projected Plan:
Resurface Chester Street from Griffin to Milton Wilson Blvd
