Take Your Child to the Library Day (TYCLD)

Take Your Child to the Library Day (TYCLD) is an international initiative that
encourages families everywhere to take their children to their local library.
Stop by the library to check out great books, enjoy a fun scavenger hunt,
and pick up a take & make fun kit (while supplies last).

Elementary Book Club

Join us the 2nd Saturday each month.
Students can share what they liked and didn't like
about the book pick and an activity relating to the book will be provided.

Join us Tuesdays from 4:00 - 4:45 to challenge your building skills.
For children in grades K and up!
Due to small parts Adult supervision for children under 5 is required.
Building materials available vary each week
but may include Legos, Magnetic Tiles and more.

*Storytime Winter Break Begins January 12, 2023*
Join us Tuesdays weekly for Storytime at 10:30 at the Arlington Safe Room.
Every Tuesday we enjoy stories, songs, counting, dancing, and a great way for parent interaction with your little one. This program is designed to build early language and literacy foundations in toddlers and pre-school age children. Storytime + Craft Day is held the 4th Tuesday (October-May) and is designed especially with the developmental tasks of toddlers in mind. Kits will be available during the summer.

Weekly Virtual Storytime

Bedtime Storytime, Read with Me Storytime, and Tiny Tots Lapsit,
Bedtime Storytime Mondays at 7:00 PM
Read With Me Storytime is every Wednesday at 10:30 that provides a closer interaction for enjoying the stories.
Some weeks we have great special guest readers.

Tiny Tots Lapsit Storytime held Thursdays at 10:30.
This program is designed for ages 0 - 2 and is a time to bond with your child
as he/she sits in your lap and encourages early development
in language and learning skills through songs,
rhymes, tickles, bounces, and books.
Ask library staff about a Tiny Tots Storytime kit.
Saturday Family Storytime held the first Saturday each month at 10:30.
Join us for a family good time of reading great books and singing fun songs.
All Virtual Storytimes are scheduled weekly on the Library Facebook page.
Tune in Live weekly, but if you can't meet with us live,
no worries all sessions are recorded and post immediately after each event.
Tuesdays & Saturdays at the Library
Our weekly knitting club takes place from 10 AM - 12 PM on Tuesdays
and Saturdays at 2 PM.
New to knitting? No problem!
All levels of experience and all ages are welcome
to join us at the Sam T. Wilson Library as we learn the art of knitting.
All library programs are free and open to the public. More info.
Mondays 5:00 - 6:30
Join individuals of all ages and levels of experience for a game
of strategy and problem solving. You are invited to learn and master
the art of chess. No registration necessary
All students will need parents or adult to sign them in
due to the library policy states that all children under the age of 12
must be accompanied by a parent or designated responsible person
while in the library. We require the parent/responsible person
to remain onsite throughout the program.
There is seating available on the patio (weather permitting)
or you may stay in your vehicle in the parking lot.
Please see staff if another arrangement needs to be made.

Join us the 2nd Saturday monthly for the Kids ZONE DIY Craft Day.
Take & Make craft kits will be available, while supply lasts.
All supplies will be included and kits will be labeled for any
additional glue, tape, etc. will be needed.
Masterminds Tween & Teen Book Club
