The library hours have changed. we will be open from 9-6 on mondays through thursdays. we will be open on saturdays from 10:00 until 2:00.  we are closed on fridays and sundays.

Special Events

Tunes & Tales with the Memphis Symphony Orchestra

Saturday, November 8th at 11:00
(at the Safe Room - 11842 Otto Ln)

We will have another special visit from members of the Memphis Symphony Orchestra for a musical story time. This month we will have a brass quintet perform the book "Attack of the Underwear Dragon" by Scott Rothman. We will do a craft after the performance.

Field Trip to the Dixon Art Gallery & Gardens

Tuesday, November 18th at 1:00 (at the Dixon Art Gallery - 4339 Park Ave, Memphis, TN 38117)

Here's a chance for our library homeschool families to have a fun experience together OUTSIDE of the library! On November 18th, we will meet at the Dixon Art Gallery in Memphis for a Dixon Discoveries field trip!

Women's Self Defense Class

Saturday, November 22nd from 1:00-3:00
(at the Safe Room - 11842 Otto Ln)

We will have another women's self defense class led by Sensei Wendy from MidSouth Okinawan Karate. Participants will leave with a new perspective on self-defense concepts and new skills after this 2-hour course.

Registration is required. Sign up with a librarian.

Preschool Storytime

10:30 am on Tuesdays.

LA HORA DE CUENTOS

Every Tuesday we enjoy stories, songs, counting, dancing, and a great way for parent interaction with your little one.

The program is designed to build early language & literacy foundations in toddlers and pre-school children ages 5 and under.

We also sneak in lots of early literacy and social skill building. See more for English here. and Spanish here.

storytime is every tuesday at 10:30. It is at the library unless otherwise  stated.

Homeschool Hangout: Crafternoon

Wednesdays at 3:00

Come hangout and craft with other homeschoolers! We will complete a different art project each week.

No registration required.

Builder's Club

Thursdays at 4:00

We're taking a break from STEM to have hour-long LEGO time! Test your LEGO skills and build with friends. Every week we will play a different LEGO game or do a build challenge!

Children under 5 must be supervised.

Stuffie Sleepover

Ever wonder what your stuffies do at night? Drop them off for a sleepover at the library and we'll see what they get up to. At pick up time, kids will get a photo booklet that shows what their stuffed animal did at the sleepover.

Do you have a reluctant reader? Reading aloud to a therapy dog can boost confidence and they're the best audience! Sign up for one-on-one reading time with a library pup.
