BMA Meeting Recap | November 2, 2026

Here’s a quick look at actions taken during last night’s Board of Mayor and Aldermen (BMA) meeting. It was a relatively short agenda. All items were approved unanimously.

✅ Approval of a Development Agreement for Phase 2 of the Summers Square commercial subdivision, located on the west side of Airline, north of Summers Road
✅ Approval of an amendment to the Town of Arlington Open Records Policy to reflect recent staff changes and bring it up to date with State requirements and allowances
✅ Approval of a Public Comment Policy to formalize current practices and provide guidance to staff and residents in public comment periods.
✅ Approval of the 2nd Reading of an Ordinance to replace First Citizens Bank with Park Bank as an official Town depository, after a Public Hearing on the item.
✅The Board also voted to elect Alderman Harry McKee as Vice Mayor and several residents were appointed to new terms on our local committees.
