REMINDER: The AFD will be conducting annual Fire Hydrant inspections and flushing beginning TOMORROW (April 15) through June 21st. Most hydrants will be flushed between the hours of 9 AM and 4 PM.
Items to note during hydrant flushing:
- You may notice a decrease in water pressure while hydrants are flushed nearby.
- Water is safe to use during this period; however, water discoloration may occur.
- Discoloration can be alleviated by running your cold water for several minutes.
* We advise you to refrain from washing laundry while discoloration is present.
If you experience a continued reduction in flow, we recommend you clean the screen at the tip of your faucet as mineral deposits may have accumulated during the flushing period.

No, the monthly Town fee for solid waste (trash, recycle, yard waste, etc.) has not changed. However, we understand some people have seen other amounts on their bills from MLGW.
We are assured those amounts are to correct previous billing errors; however, should you think your average 1-year Solid Waste cost exceeds our rate - give Town Hall a call and we'll research your records.

Our LED streetlight conversion is underway and roughly 55% of Town lights have been now been converted. They started with more commercial roads, but you may now see Ameresco staff working in our residential neighborhoods.

TRASH DELAY - Homes on trash and recycle routes south of I-40 may not get serviced today. However, Waste Pro plans to collect these routes tomorrow - so please leave cans at the street. Thank you.

SCSO recently made an arrest for multiple vandalism events in Forrest Street Park.
Town Parks are intended for all our residents to use and enjoy. An act of vandalism can take that amenity away, costing the community time and money to repair.
