MLGW Power Hour Community Meeting - November 16th
Memphis Light, Gas, and Water is inviting utility customers to a Power Hour Community Meeting on Thursday, Nov. 16 at the Patriot Bank Community Room in Arlington (5340 Airline Rd).
Doors open at 5pm for customers who want to speak to a Customer Service Advisor for help with accounts & billing. The Power Hour meeting begins at 6pm.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to the U.S.MARINE CORPS! On November 10, 1775, the Second Continental Congress meeting in Philadelphia passed a resolution stating that "two Battalions of Marines be raised" for service as landing forces with the fleet. This established the Continental Marines and marked the birth date of the U.S. Marine Corps. Three (3) of our Town staff are USMC Veterans – Lee Upchurch, our Parks Director, Zachery Nichols (Fire), and David Dumont (Fire). Be sure to wish them a Happy 248th Marine Corps Birthday if you see them! #USMCBDay #SaluteOurTroops


PUBLIC NOTICE
The Town of Arlington Planning Commission and Board of Mayor and Alderman will hold a joint Work Session at 6:00 pm on Thursday, December 7, 2023, at Town Hall, 5854 Airline Rd, to review the following:
a General Development Plan for Estates at Hall Creek, a single-family residential subdivision on approximately 289 acres, located south of I-40, east of Arlington Trails Rd; east and west sides of Chester St., and north of Pinckley Rd.


Don't forget - Town Offices will be CLOSED tomorrow on FRIDAY, November 10th in observance of the Veterans' Day holiday.


Right Fiber, an internet utility moving into the Arlington market, will soon be installing fiber in new parts of Town. Attached is information the Town has received on the company, with their contact information for any questions.


The Arlington Board of Mayor & Aldermen will hold a Public Hearing and Second and Final reading on Monday, December 4, 2023, at Town Hall, 5854 Airline Road, Arlington, Tennessee, at 6:30 PM for the following items:
• Ordinance 2023-05 - to amend Title 13, Property Maintenance Regulations of the Arlington Municipal Code by the Addition of Chapter 6 Short-Term Rental Units.
• Ordinance 2023-06 - to amend the Town of Arlington, Tennessee Budget for Fiscal Year ending June 30, 2024.


As you clear your yards of fall leaves, don't forget to keep storm drain inlets clear too.
Clogged or blocked inlets can slow drainage in your neighborhood. And slow drainage can lead to flooding.


If you use College Hill Park or the Playground of Dreams, there's good news - a restoration of the Parking Lot is scheduled to start next Monday (11/13), weather permitting.
During the work, the parking lot it will be closed to patrons, so please plan accordingly. We hope to have it completed quickly & return it in much better shape to serve you!

An Invitation to All - The Arlington Chamber is hosting a Veterans Day ceremony to honor all who have served this Sunday at 3pm. The ceremony will be at The Crossing Amphitheater and will include a performance by the AMS Symphonic Band.

Bringing different generations together is a beautiful thing! Have you heard Arlington Senior Center has partnered with our school district in the Paws Reading Program? Twice a week, volunteers from the Senior Center visit Donelson & Arlington Elementary Schools to work with small groups of K - 2nd graders in reading and literacy.
From what we hear, the seniors are benefiting as much as the students! One more reason to be proud of our Arlington community!
