🛠️ Aerial Update: Town Hall Expansion! If you’ve driven past Arlington Town Hall lately, you’ve no-doubt noticed the big changes underway — and now you can see the progress from above!
Construction is moving right along on the Town Hall expansion, a project that will double the office space in the building to better serve our growing community and its needs.
Originally dedicated in 1980, Town Hall was built when our population was just 1,778 people. Since then, the building has only seen small modifications — until now. With Arlington’s continued growth, this expansion will ensure we have the room, resources, and staff support to keep delivering the services our residents count on.
Work is expected to wrap up this fall, and we’ll share more updates (and views from above!) along the way. Stay tuned!

✅ Safe Room Update: Repairs Complete!✅ Remember in May when our Safe Room got a "haircut" by Mother Nature? Well, we’re happy to report the trim is cleaned up and a new roof is in place! While it’s not structural, the roof does help with moisture and climate control, playing an important support role in keeping things comfortable inside. The big concrete bunker underneath—our actual tornado shelter—never missed a beat. But now it looks as solid on the outside as it always was on the inside. Thanks for your patience as we got it all fixed up. The Safe Room is looking sharp again and, more importantly, still ready if and when you need it

🚨Smoke Testing Starts Today🚨 Reminder to those in Arlington Downs - the Wastewater Department will be conducting smoke testing in your neighborhood to help us identify any leaks or cracks in the sanitary sewer system. Testing will run from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., July 7–8.
WHAT YOU MIGHT SEE: You may notice harmless, white or gray smoke coming from manholes, vents, or even the ground. This is completely normal and part of the test!
WHAT IT MEANS: The smoke helps us locate places where rainwater might sneak into the sewer system. It’s non-toxic, odorless, and won’t stain—just a clever tool in our utility toolbox.
WHAT TO DO: - Pour about a gallon of water into any rarely used drains (like in your basement or guest bath) to ensure traps are filled. - If smoke somehow enters your home, open some windows and let the crew nearby know - or Call Us! - No need to be home, just be aware!
