There are over a dozen different native species to choose from. Pick up will be at Arlington Public Works on Saturday, March 16th. This is the largest community tree-planting event in America. The trees are yours to plant on your own property and will enhance our environment and community for generations to come!
Tree seedlings are available for suggested donations ranging from only $.99 to $4.99, which helps support the cause and future TN Tree Day events.

Arlington is an official 🌳Tennessee Tree Day partner again this year! This means you can reserve from over a dozen different native species and pick up your seedlings right here at Public Works on Saturday, March 16th.
TN Tree Day is the largest community tree-planting event in America. Tennessee residents will collectively pick up and plant more than 100,000 native tree seedlings in all 95 Tennessee counties during the weekend of March 16th. The trees are yours to plant on your own property and will enhance our environment and communities for generations to come!
Tree Day is a project of Tennessee Environmental Council (TEC), a nonprofit organization who depends on your support to make this event possible. Tree seedlings are available for suggested donations ranging from $.99 to $4.99.

PUBLIC NOTICE - The Town of Arlington Planning Commission will hold a Public Hearing at 6:30 pm on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at Town Hall, 5854 Airline Rd, to consider the following:
- to amend the Town of Arlington Zoning Map by rezoning a parcel located at 11002 Hwy 64 totaling 3.086 acres on the north side of Hwy 64 approx., 1100 east of Chambers Chapel Rd from E: Estate Residential to B2: General Business; and
- a General Development Plan for Donelson Farms, a commercial/industrial planned development (PD/C-I) on 287.26 acres located south of Donelson Farms Pkwy, west of I-269.


Trash service will run today (Monday) through Saturday to catch up from last week. Please leave cans at the curb until they have been serviced.

NOTICE - Early Voting for the Presidential Primary will begin in 30 days (from Feb 14-Feb 27). There are 2 early voting sites in Arlington: the Arlington Safe Room & Arlington United Methodist Church.

SEVERE WEATHER - Arlington is under severe weather threat today, so stay weather aware. Six outdoor warning sirens in Town are operated by the Shelby County Office of Preparedness and will sound when a Tornado Warning has been issued for anywhere in Shelby County.
In the case of a Tornado Warning - Arlington's Tornado Safe Room is located at 11842 Otto Lane (next to Arlington Elementary). The room remains locked until a Tornado Warning is issued, then designated Town staff members will open the facility.


Starting tomorrow, restroom facilities in Town parks will be winterized & closed due to freezing temperatures expected.
