⏰Public Notice⏰ The Town of Arlington will conduct a public hearing on Monday, June 23, 2025 at 5:30 PM on the Town’s intent to exceed the certified property tax rate.
The public hearing will be at Arlington Community Schools Board of Education, 12060 Arlington Trail, Arlington, Tennessee. The certified tax rate as defined by T.C.A. 67-5-1701 is $1.001787 per $100 of assessed valuation. The Town’s proposed FY2026 budget, if adopted, will require a proposed tax levy of $1.13 per $100 of assessed value.

🚧 Road Work Alert: Milton Wilson & Airline Road🚧 Town contractors should wrap up paving on Milton Wilson Blvd this Wednesday and begin the road marking/striping process. Crews will then move to Airline Road to patch several spots between Memphis-Arlington and Will Harris Road. (All work is weather dependent)
These roads are both key connectors in our community, so be prepared for traffic impacts during this time. Impacts will include lane shifts & traffic control measures, but no full closures.

🚨 Storm Update for Arlington 🚨 Severe storms have moved through Arlington, causing damage to the Tornado Safe Room’s exterior and downing several trees around town. The Safe Room remains structurally secure with no interior damage. The roof that was lost was a secondary, aesthetic cover only.
The Fire Department will be on hand to assist and allow access if further storms make it necessary.
Please use caution while traveling—watch for downed trees and possible power lines. Crews are actively working to assess and secure affected areas. Stay alert and stay safe, Arlington!

🚧 Road Closure - Brooks Branch Rd 🚧
Brooks Branch Rd has been closed to thru traffic as a result of downed trees and power lines. Town crews are securing the road and MLGW is on scene.
📌Holiday Schedule📌 Town facilities will be CLOSED on Monday, May 26 in observance of the Memorial Day holiday. 🔷Monday is also a Trash Service holiday, so all daily collections will be pushed forward one day next week (26-30th) .

🚨Outdoor Warning Siren Out of Service🚨 The outdoor warning siren located at Airline Road and Donelson Farms Parkway is currently not operational. We are aware of the issue and awaiting parts for repairs.
In the meantime, always have multiple ways to receive weather alerts (weather apps, NOAA radios, local news). Outdoor warning sirens are just one part of a broader emergency notification system and not intended to provide warning to those indoors. Stay safe!

🚧 Town Hall Construction Update 🚧 Big things are happening at Arlington Town Hall!
Starting the week of May 19, construction will begin inside Town Hall (5854 Airline Rd) to expand our offices to better serve our growing community.. During this time:
🔹 Expect some disruptions the week of May 19-23 as staff relocates.
🔹Finance staff will move to the Board Chambers – services like business licenses will still be available (no fax services).
🔹 Planning & Development is moving to Public Works (11491 Memphis-Arlington Rd). For zoning, permits, or development questions, visit that office or call 901-867-4980.
🔹 Town Hall parking will be in the upper lot off Airline (follow directional signs). ADA/handicap access via Douglas St entrance.
Construction is expected to last around 8 months. We appreciate your patience during this time and look forward to serving you in an improved facility once the project is complete!
🚧 Road Work Alert: Milton Wilson Paving Project 🚧 Starting Monday, May 19, Town contractors will begin a paving project on Milton Wilson Blvd from Forrest Street to Hazel Ridge Drive —a key connector in our community.
Work is estimated to take 2 weeks, weather permitting, so please be prepared for traffic impacts during this time.
✅ This will be a multi-phase project, including:
• Patching and milling of the existing roadway
• New pavement installation
• Fresh road markings and updated signage

• No full road closures, but lane shifts and traffic delays are likely.
• Traffic control measures will be in place and will shift as work progresses.
